Marriage Licence Application

Welcome to the Town of Arnprior's electronic Marriage Licence Application form. Congratulations on your intent to marry and know that the Clerk's Office is always here to assist you and your partner as you proceed through the process. Please note that information from both applicants is required to be completed in this electronic form (including signatures and identification uploads); therefore, we recommend that applicants complete the form together. 

Quick Reminders 

• Please review the Requirements to apply for a marriage licence.
• A marriage licence expires 90 days from the date of issue and can be used anywhere in Ontario. 
• If you wish to fill out a paper application, you may print and fill out this form. You are then required to visit the Clerk's Office on the second floor of Town Hall to submit your application and provide your supporting documents (i.e. identification, divorce documents). 

Required Documents

Please confirm that you have the below documents on hand to upload into this application form. Scanned or photographed copies are acceptable as long as the document's contents are clear. Original copies should be presented for verification when you pick up your marriage licence. 

• One Piece of Personal Identification for each applicant (with photo)
• Second Piece of Personal Identification for each applicant (with or without photo)
• Certificate(s) of Divorce or Decree Absolute (original or court certified) (if divorced in Canada) (if applicable)
• Confirmation of Foreign Divorce Authorization from the Office of the Registrar General (if divorced outside of Canada) (if applicable)
