Cultural Night Market Vendor Business Licence Application Form

The Town of Arnprior will be hosting a multi-cultural Night Market on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 4pm to 11pm in the downtown core of Arnprior. The Night Market will feature vendors and artisans, as well as live entertainment, art installations, and more! The goal of the multi-cultural event is for attendees to become more acquainted with and celebrate the rich diversity of their neighbours and beyond.

The Cultural Night Market is looking to showcase vendors and artisans from a variety of cultures. If you are a vendor that represents your heritage through your offerings we welcome your application. 

We are actively seeking vendors and artisans who identify as Indigenous, Black, Persons of Colour (IBPoC), persons from the 2SLGBTQ+ community, and persons with disabilities. We encourage applicants to self-identify within their submission. 

Important Application Approval Information

• All Businesses must comply with the Town of Arnprior Licencing By-law (see licences), as amended.
• Full payment of the Business Licence Fee, as per the User Fees and Charges By-law (see finance), as amended, shall be received prior to a licence being issued. This fee is non-refundable.
• Any Application/Licence put forward/issued under the Town of Arnprior Licencing By-law, as amended, may be refused, revoked, suspended, or refused to be renewed by the Issuer of Licences for non-compliance with the by-law.
• Required approvals must be obtained prior to the application for a Business Licence
• It is mandatory for all licenced businesses/ applicants to carry sufficient liability insurance, in compliance with the Town of Arnprior’s insurer.

• Liability insurance coverage to have a minimum liability limit of $2 million and list the Town of Arnprior as named insured.
• For Vendors of the Cultural Night Market who do not carry their own liability insurance or adequate insurance when participating in the Arnprior Market, a Facility User Liability Insurance Program is available at time of booking.  

Mandatory Application Requirements:

• Copy of Approved Government Issued ID
• General Liability Insurance
• Renfrew County Health Unit Certificate of Approval (if applicable)
• Copy of AGCO Licence (if applicable)
• Licence Fee Paid in Full
• Historic Compliance with all By-Laws and Applicable Legislation

I, have read the Town of Arnprior Licensing By-Law as amended, and I am fully aware of and agree to comply with its requirements, provisions and conditions. I further understand that the Issuer of Licences may refuse, suspend, amend or revoke a licence at any time for by-law non-compliance.

Release, Waiver and Indemnification

As the Owner or acting in the capacity of an Authorized Agent of the Owner, if granted the Cultural Night Market Vendor Licence, by the Corporation of the Town of Arnprior:

I hereby release, waive and forever discharge the Town of Arnprior, hereinafter known as the “Releasee”, and its employees, agents, officers, representatives and Members of Council from all claims, demands, costs, expenses, in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to myself or my property resulting from the completion of this application and if granted, from the Cultural Night Market in its entirety.

I further agree to indemnify the Releasee for injury, death, property damage or any other loss sustained by the Releasee resulting from the completion of this application and if granted, from the Cultural Night Market in its entirety.

Should the Market Vendor Licence be granted to the Applicant, the release, waiver and indemnification shall survive term of the application and the Cultural Night Market Vendor Licence.

By submitting this Application, I hereby acknowledge having read, understood, agreed to the above release, waiver and indemnification and if applicable I have the authority to sign the release, waiver and indemnification on behalf of my organization.
